Preface
When the voice of Jesus calls, the heart must answer. His promise in Mark 10:29–30 resounds with timeless hope:
“Truly I tell you, no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much… and in the age to come, eternal life.”
This booklet is the fruit of that calling. It stems from an unyielding conviction to deploy every tool, every platform, and every ounce of strength to shine the gospel into the darkest corners of the earth. We must be alert, bold, and relentless in carrying the torch of His truth.

Chapter 1: Rediscovering the Commission
The Great Commission is the cornerstone of Christian duty. In Matthew 28:18–20, Christ declares:
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always…”
Mark 16:15 reinforces the call:
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
Despite the widespread availability of the Bible since the late 1800s, missionary zeal and Bible distribution have dramatically declined. What caused this downturn? Is it ignorance? A poverty mindset? A departure from urgency?
Chapter 2: The Father’s Passion for the Church
Modern church systems are often bogged down by tradition and theological debate, sidelining the spontaneous work of the Spirit. We honor the Bible intellectually but resist its transformative power.
“To honor Scripture without obeying it is to idolize the book and miss the Author.”
South Africa—once aflame with revival—played a key role in global missions. But the blessing was marred by mimicry of the West’s failures. After 30 years in ministry, God stirred my soul with a fresh call: to weep with Him for His church.
Chapter 3: Urgency of Obedience
John 1:1–4 illuminates the divine foundation:
“In the beginning was the Word… In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.”
If the enemy seeks to extinguish that light, how can we allow converts to walk away empty-handed? Millions have responded to altar calls across generations yet walked away without a Bible.
Can the church truly fulfil its mission while neglecting to put God’s Word in the hands of new believers?
Chapter 4: Challenging Spiritual Apathy
Where Bibles are abundant, we mistakenly assume they are universally accessible. Evangelism efforts often exclude the simplest necessity—Scripture itself. Isaiah 40:8 reminds us:
“The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”
Currently, over 420 million African Christians lack personal Bibles. By 2025, projections estimate over 670 million will remain without one. In Asia, 250 million believers are also unreached in this basic way. Even as audio Bibles exist, illiteracy and inaction hinder their impact.
Chapter 5: Wealth, Privilege, and Responsibility
Can we imagine life as a believer without God’s Word—no daily nourishment, no promise to cling to, no sword for battle? Meanwhile, in affluent circles, believers hoard multiple Bibles while 500 million brothers and sisters’ hunger for just one.
Countless Bible colleges graduate leaders every year in Africa and Asia, but up to 95% lack personal copies of the Scriptures. How can they shepherd others when they themselves lack the shepherd’s voice?
Chapter 6: Arming the Saints
Ephesians 6 urges believers to “put on the full armor of God.” Without the sword of the Spirit—the Word—new believers are defenseless. Romans 10:17 says:
“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Where the Word is absent, faith cannot flourish. Without the Word, the believer is exposed, unarmed, and unprepared.
Chapter 7: Faith as Our Defence
Faith is not just a belief—it is a shield against the onslaught of darkness. Ephesians 6:16 declares:
“Take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”
And in 1 John 5:4:
“This is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”
Faith is rooted in the knowledge of Christ, which only the Word can fully supply. Where the Word is withheld, prayer is weak and hope fragile.
Chapter 8: Igniting Global Evangelism
Christ’s commission is to teach—not just to preach. Teaching requires truth, and truth is found in Scripture. Ephesians 6:14 says:
“Stand firm… with the belt of truth buckled around your waist.”
Truth can only prevail when believers hold fast to the Bible. The Spirit speaks, but we must provide the foundation upon which He builds. False teaching withers in the light of Scripture.
Chapter 9: Planting Seeds of Legacy
Every invention comes with a manual. God gave humanity His manual—Scripture. Today, we consume thousands of sermons, but millions await their very first page of God’s Word.
When we place a Bible into the hands of a believer, we empower a generation. When we equip pastors with Scripture, we forge unshakable legacies.
Let us fill churches, schools, and missions with the Word. Let us never forget the thrill of receiving our first Bible—and let us be the reason someone else gets theirs.
Chapter 10: Call to Action
Let us rise to this holy assignment. Let every Christian, every donor, every church, and every ministry unite to place the Bible in every believer’s hands. Only then will the Great Commission be fulfilled. Only then will our faith leave a legacy that echoes into eternity.
Thank you for reading. May this Booklet inspire renewed passion for the mission Christ entrusted to us all.
